Feast of Saint Nicholas & Victorious Naval Battles of 1912–1913 — Free Admission
The Floating Naval Museum Battleship “G. AVEROF” welcomes its visitors today to a day of remembrance, honor, and naval pride, as we celebrate the Feast of Saint Nicholas, Patron Saint of the Hellenic Navy, as well as the anniversary of the Victorious Naval Battles of the Balkan Wars (1912–1913).

Honorary Flyover by Sikorsky S-70 Helicopter
A Sikorsky S-70 helicopter of the Hellenic Navy will perform an honorary flyover above Battleship “AVEROF”.
The Hellenic Fleet’s Command helicopters are essential assets for maritime surveillance, deterrence, and search-and-rescue operations, and their presence today pays tribute to our naval tradition.

Commencement of the Hellenic Navy Band Musical March
The Hellenic Navy Band, one of the most historic and distinguished musical ensembles of the Armed Forces, begins its Musical March from the Submarine Memorial at Flisvos Marina, honoring the submariners of the Fleet.
The Band will then proceed musically through the Maritime Heritage Park and arrive at Battleship “AVEROF”.

Concert & Flag-Lowering Ceremony
At 17:00, on the pier astern of Battleship “AVEROF”, the Hellenic Navy Band will perform a short festive concert within the thematic area
“Odysseus – The Greeks and the Sea” of the Maritime Heritage Park.
Upon the Band’s arrival, the Greek Flag-Lowering Ceremony will take place, with the participation of:
the Precision Drill Team of the Hellenic Naval Training Command and the rendering of honors with the National Anthem
A moment of profound symbolism, where modern naval tradition meets the historic legacy of the ship.
Throughout the Day Amateur Radio Station — Deck Level –2
Visitors may explore the ship’s historic wireless station, which is operating again thanks to the radio amateurs broadcasting from the original location where the Fleet’s wireless operators sent messages more than a century ago.

Grand Drone Show
With nightfall, the sky above the Maritime Heritage Park will be illuminated by a spectacular Drone Show, offering a modern visual experience in harmony with the historic grandeur of Battleship “G. AVEROF”.
