On the deck of the legendary battleship “G. Averof”, we welcomed members of the Nursing Directorate of the Naval Hospital of Athens and the newly appointed Professional Sailors – Nursing Branch.
Young men and women who have chosen to serve where care becomes duty and compassion becomes a form of courage.
For courage is not only found on the front line of battle; it is also in standing by one’s fellow human being with calm, perseverance, and heart.
The Averof, a ship-symbol of freedom and honor, received them with pride and emotion.
Because the strength of the Hellenic Navy does not lie only in its ships, but in its people — those who defend life, dignity, and the timeless values of our Nation under all conditions.
This new generation of naval nurses embodies the spirit of service and the true meaning of the oath we all share: to serve with faith, honor, and humanity.
